Microsoft has been operating within Ireland for over 30 years, their Dublin offices are home to a number of the company’s European and Global team. Microsoft’s new stat of the art campus will be home to their 1,200 strong team and is an investment of €134 million.
The new facilities will allow all of Microsoft’s operations to be housed under one roof. Sales, R&D development, financial operations and engineering will now all be able to work together from the same location.
The new campus, which was designed by RKD Architects, will follow the company’s current policy of ‘work hard play hard’. The new building will showcase the latest technologies across the project. Staff will also have access to Xbox, VR headsets and table football. There will also be running and walking trails around the site and a roof top terrace overlooking the Dublin Mountains.
The project which is been overseen by BAM contractors comprise of 35,000m² office facilities on every floor on a 3 hectare site. The basement level which includes: 215 car parking spaces, 24 motorcycles spaces, 220 bicycle parking spaces, staff gym & leisure centre, delivery’s and storage.
Kingspan Insulation supplied a number of products to this project including our Kingspan Kooltherm K15 which can be used in rain screen and masonry facades, it is a popular building envelope specification, particularly in high-res applications.
Also used in this project was our Kooltherm K10 soffit board which is designed for use in insulating structural ceiling. Our Therma TW50 partial fill cavity wall insulation which is a rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate PIR Board was also used in this project.
